Winter Wonderland

Thought you might enjoy seeing what I saw this morning. It was about 6 am and was extremely beautiful. For as much as I dislike the winter and the cold and the snow I cannot deny the absolute beauty of the snow. It snowed for a few more hours after this but these show the magnitude of the storm we got, we still had grass showing when I went to bed! Beautiful!!

Snow Play

We had a wonderful winter storm last night. Left us with around 7 inches of snow, without drift. Heres some pics of Xander out playing. As you can tell he was more interested in sitting than playing but thats okay :)

Xander still loves the fishtank you got him for his crib...Heres a video for you :) **He reaches into his crib to turn it on and dances to it. He gets mad if we turn it off and will go back and turn it on again!** (Him waving his hand is part of him dancing - Josh taught him to "Raise the Roof")

Walking

Here is Alixander walking. Still having trouble getting a good video but I thought him carrying this was hilarious! He loves carrying everything around, picked up a 6lb medicine ball earlier today and took a few steps before I saw what he was doing and rescued his toes! He is getting better at walking in shoes and seems to prefer walking to crawling now in the past week or so. Its nice that hes so tall...we can hold his hand and he can walk and neither one of us has to tip over at all! :)

Big Boy :)

Here is a video of Xander using a spoon by himself for the first time! Hes eating ice cream. Mom was very proud of him! You can see him signing here too...the hand to the mouth is "food" (were still refining that) followed by "milk" and "please". Were working on "thank you" and "drink" now.

Alixander got his birthday card from Grandpa in today from Iraq! He had a good time folding and unfolding it and looking at the pictures!

11 Months!!!

Here is Alixander enjoying his new toy! So fun to watch him figure it out and move it around. Very different from even a month ago! We havent been back to the doctor yet so dont know his height and weight though I think he has grown taller :) Same amount of teeth, no real physical changes in the past month but ton of mental ones! He can do so many more things than last month and is getting very good at standing on his own! Very hard to believe he is almost a year old!!!
