Christmas Through My Eyes...

My very first Christmas was really exciting!!

First, on Christmas Eve I opened my very first Christmas present, with Daddy's help..

Then I got dressed in my new PJs...a crazy santa suit that Grandpa bought. Daddy was very excited....

On Christmas morning I woke up early... 7 a.m. and got to laugh at Daddy playing with my Christmas gifts for me...

I lasted a whole hour before the excitement got to me.....

After my nap I was refreshed and rejuvenated and ready to play again!!!

Christmas is so much fun!!!

Heres To You...

As the holiday season gets closer we take the time to realize how much our family and friends mean to us. We never have the time, and sometimes never get the chance to say "Thank you" for all of the prayers, thoughts, deeds, and support we have been given this year and the many previous. This year especially we have seen how important family is and have become, at least in our eyes, not only a stronger family but best friends. So to everyone who has been there for us and continues to be... Our wish for you and your families; a peaceful holiday season and a very blessed 2009!!!

8 weeks...

Here I am at 8 weeks old at my cousin Whitney's wedding in California. Mommy and I flew out and had a great time visiting all my grandparents and cousins for a week! I enjoyed the weather and found out that I am a happy morning person! More pictures to come when I give Mommy a few minutes to put them all together :)

Me and my old blue chair!!!

Ohhh..... so I forgot to tell you about my new chair!!! This chair was my Momma Caffy's and I love to sit in it by myself. I like to rock in it while watchin Baby Einstien and football with my Daddy!

Seven Weeks & Growing...

We had a great time at Grandpa's this past week! We stopped and saw Daddy's family for Thanksgiving too and are finally home. I am rolling from my stomach to my back now almost every time I get tummy time. I don't like napping very much anymore but love to sleep when I am being rocked and cuddled. I am flying for my first time ever to California this coming weekend so stay tuned for more pictures!!!

We're 4....I mean 5...Wait slow down..!!!

We are now 5.5 weeks old. I have been keeping Mommy and Grandma very busy the past few weeks. Mommy weighed me this weekend and is pretty sure the scale said 13 pounds!!! I have realized that I have a temper and I enjoy using it when I feel it is taking too long to get me my food. I have begun sleeping better at night, getting about 4-5 hours in a row. We are excited about going to visit Grandpa Jeff for the week of Thanksgiving but will miss Grandma and Grandpa Anderson when they return to California for the winter. I keep growing bigger and stronger everyday and am enjoying everyday so far :)

Two Weeks Already!!!

Time sure does fly by! Xander is two weeks old! We have our first doctors appointment tomorrow so we will get to see how well he is growing. He is doing well, sleeping between 3 and 4 hours in a row at night and being very alert during his few waking hours during the day. He is becoming more vocal and making lots of funny sounds! He loves getting a bath and enjoys relaxing in the water. He also loves to cuddle and normally falls asleep and snuggles close when we hold him.

Doctor Appointment and Update...

We went to see the midwife today for our weekly appointment; we are 4 days overdue. She said that things are progressing but kind of slowly so far. We are hoping that by walking and with a few more days Xander will help the process along but not sure how long it will take. They've decided that if he is not here by Monday we will start the induction process.

They have a few methods we are going to try to try and start labor without drugs so if we have to go that route hopefully they work. May not be comfortable but we want to avoid drugs if at all possible. If that doesn't work the drugs are the only option besides a c-section. Please keep us in your thoughts and hopefully it all works out well. We are still hoping that baby will decide to come on his own.

We will keep everyone informed as we know more... In any event, we will have our baby here by Tuesday!!!

40 weeks...

Baby Alixander
is not here yet.
Unfortunately he
takes after
mommy's affinity
for being late!

They are expecting
him to weigh
just over 7lbs but
be very long!

We are (impatiently)
waiting for him to
decide when he would
like his birthday to be.

Everything is ready for
his arrival!

Outside Looking In....

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers the little things, long after you have forgotten everything."

Here is the link to our 9 month pictures :) Josh and I got them done by a local photographer who was looking for people to model for his studio. He will also be doing Alixander's first pictures once he arrives. I think they turned out amazing, though I know I am biased :) We had a ton of fun doing them and having some of our pose ideas turn out just as good as the photographers :) We just wanted to share with all of you this part of our journey and the incredible talents of the photographer. :) Let us know what you think!!!

Go to... studiohphotography.net then click the Great Expectations picture. On the top right you will see a Proofs link, click that. The password to our pictures is Denniston. You do have to capitalize the D. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

8 Months and Counting....

8 Months today!!!

Alixander weighs about 4lbs & is approximately 16.5" long!!

Theres hair on his head...if he will have any when he arrives that is! :)

He has actual sleep and wake cycles and they say he can dream!

Only 8 weeks to go!!!

"The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering."

On the 8th of August we were able to present a check for $25,000 to Blessing Hospital in my Mom's memory. The funds were donated from the National Breast Cancer Foundation and everything was made possible through my Aunt Pam, Uncle Daljit and cousin Tara. It was an amazing experience and I know my Mom would be so amazed that her memory is still touching so many people and that her story is allowing so many women to get treatment and help they need!

7 Months....

Here we at 29 weeks
in California with
Great-Grandma Davis.

We visited the beach
and the aquarium,
went swimming
(more like lounging
on a floatee) :)
and saw all of the family
for Grandma's 90th
b-day party and a
baby shower for Alixander

He is about 2.5 lbs and 15"

He can see in color, but his
vision is extremely blurry.

He is constantly exercising
and getting ready to drive
us crazy with his energy :)

18 Weeks Down!!!

18 Weeks Down, Only 22 To Go!!
Head to bottom, the baby is about 5 1/2"
long (about as long as a bell pepper)and
weighs almost 7 ounces
Baby can now sense light, and moves to
avoid bright lights in *his* eyes. Other things
baby can do: yawn, swallow, suck, hiccup, and
make faces.
From this week onwards the bones start ossifying
and becoming stronger and harder which means
we'll be able to really feel kicks soon!
Baby now has active sleeping and waking moments
Baby's fingerprints are starting to form - the unique
one of a kind fingerprints that will never change for
the rest of baby's life! Amazing!
Can't wait til the 21st - What do you think boy or girl?
